Programmatic SEO

Programmatic SEO is the practice of generating hundreds or thousands of landing pages from a single template plus a structured dataset, so each page targets one long-tail query — "[tool] alternatives," "[city] plumbers," "[currency] to [currency]." Instead of writing each page by hand, you build one well-optimized layout and let data fill the variables. For SaaS builders and indie hackers it's a way to capture high-intent search demand at scale without a large content team — directories, comparison sites, and marketplaces live on it. The catch: thin, near-duplicate pages get filtered or penalized by search engines, so each page needs genuinely unique data and real utility, not just swapped keywords. Practical note: start with a keyword pattern that has proven search volume, ensure every page answers the query fully, add internal links between related pages, and submit a clean sitemap. Quality and crawlability matter far more than raw page count.
