Questions

Does ActiveCampaign have a free plan?

No. The pricing page offers a free 14-day trial with email sign-up and no credit card, but does not list a free plan.

How much does ActiveCampaign cost?

ActiveCampaign's comparison pages list Starter at $15 a month, Plus at $49, Pro at $79 and Enterprise at $145, all for 1,000 contacts. The pricing page shows each plan as billed yearly for 1,000 contacts but displayed no dollar amounts when we read it, and the comparison pages do not say whether the figures assume annual billing. Confirm the billing basis in the plan selector. Its FAQ says month-to-month billing is available.

How does the price grow with my contact list?

The monthly price scales with contact list size, and monthly email sends scale too, at 10 to 15 times your contacts depending on plan. One ActiveCampaign article gives Starter at $149 a month for 10,000 contacts. ActiveCampaign says it charges once per unique contact rather than once per list, and that you can move to the next contact band or plan without penalties.

What are the main limits on the lower plans?

Starter allows 5 actions per automation and 5 lists, has limited segmentation, and excludes landing pages, site messages, cross-channel marketing and generative AI. Starter and Plus include 1 user and email-only A/B testing. Plus adds unlimited automation actions, landing pages and site messages. Pro raises sends to 12,000 a month at 1,000 contacts and adds 3 users, advanced segmentation, predictive sending, conditional content and attribution.

What does Enterprise add?

Everything in Pro plus single sign-on, HIPAA support, premium segmentation, custom objects, premium CRM integrations such as Salesforce, a dedicated account team and an uptime SLA. It includes 5 users and unlimited inbox previews.

Does ActiveCampaign have an API?

Yes. The ActiveCampaign API v3 is built around REST, HTTP and JSON, with endpoints grouped by resources such as contacts and deals. Its overview page does not state which plans include API access, so check the authentication and rate-limit pages in the developer documentation.
