Relighting

Relighting changes the lighting of an existing photo — direction, color, and intensity — while keeping the subject and composition intact, so a product shot lit under harsh office fluorescents can be made to look like soft studio lighting or golden-hour sun. Unlike a generic filter, AI relighting estimates the scene's geometry and materials, then re-renders how light would fall, producing believable new shadows and highlights rather than a flat color wash. For SaaS builders in e-commerce, real-estate, and portrait or headshot tools, it standardizes inconsistent user-uploaded photos into a coherent, on-brand look without a reshoot. Practical note: it works best on clear single subjects; busy scenes and reflective or transparent materials (glass, jewelry) are where artifacts appear. Pair it with background removal to relight subject and backdrop independently. Tools expose it as a "relight" step; feed a target lighting description or reference image, and preview before batch-processing a whole catalog.
